HI

Ok lets see , you had in the past been able to play dvd but now you cant ??? Well if this is the case then we have to check on the drive and the drivers for the drive , so lets start with that , and then what is the software you are using to play dvd ??

Hi sometimes a DVD player will go bad and not play a DVD but will play a CD reason being is the CD is easier to read as it has no images.I had 2 of them that did the same thing.

Take out the CD drive and buy a new DVD drive and install it in the empty slot. Your drive is probably too old. DVDs are upgrading you know... Or you bought a corrupted disk from the black market.

Update the driver for your DVD Codec. That may help. God Bless.
