Cingular does not include the software disc that is supposed to come with the cellphone.

The software you want is called "Motorola Phone Tools". You can purchase it directly from Motorola, or from some secondary site, for between $20 and $40. It may or may not come with the USB cable for it.

Once installed on your system, keep upgrading the "Motorola Phone Tools" software until it does not upgrade anymore. Then you can put ringtones, change your wallpaper, manage and backup your phone book and contacts and more all from that interface. It will also install a generic driver for your phone that connects it as an external drive to your computer.

One thing to check is to look at the USB Settings and see if there is a "Data / Fax Connction" and a "Memory Card" option. Changing it to "Memory Card" will help with putting it into the correct mode for writing directly to the memory card.

I am assuming you have a micro sd card with your KRZR. You can either buy an adapter for your card for your computer or try the following.

If you were given a CD with your KRZR install the CD. Reboot after.

Plug in your usb and go to menu » settings » connections » make sure the memory card option is selected if that doesn't work try the data option.

You may try to unplug you usb and re-plug it in (try it 3 times or more waiting 30 second intervals).

I'm not sure if this will help but this is what you do with SLVRs.

You will need to install the CD that came with the phone...

This will provide you with the software drivers and necessary software to exchange music, files, and such...

If you have done this already, and still have issues, another way to get music on the phone is to insert the memory card directly to the computer via usb cable to micro SD and/or using the SD - micro SD converter. You can purchase this at your local tech store and of course off the internet...

This way, you can drag and drop the files you want on the card and then directly insert the card into the phone...

Best of luck, and enjoy the new tunes...
