I was trying to save some graphics I had made onto a cd. But a error came up saying they couldn't be moved so I clicked retry and they disappeared. I know they are still on the computer because I had downloaded some program that recovers photos and I found only two of my graphics. But that program didn't really help me. I have some of my graphics backed up on photobucket. But thats only the newer graphics. Does anyone know how to recover them?

Go to start > Search and search for the file format. That is if your graphics were in jpeg format then search *.jpeg and it will show all files of that format and you may find your required files as you must be knowing the file names. Best of Luck

If the files are deleted form your hard disk and it is valuable i suggest to buy Virtuallab it can recover most of the files, if you think it is still on the hard drive then do an advanced search like search by file type and date ..etc

good luck

if you know the names of the files then do a search. go to start search, folders and files type in the name and click go, if you know what the extensions are then you could do a search by extension so let say your file is named = our house.mpg what you would do is

go to start click on search in the search bar click on files /folders type in *.mpg and it will find every file extension with mpg and give you the name of the file and where it is on your hard drive.

now to find out what the extensions is you say you have two files you know were they are go to them files and look at the extensions

the extensions are the three last letters example.. our house.mpg (MPG) < extension,
