Password Protected Folders?

Question

I want to start a journal on my computer but not like on a website, on my computer so I could go to My Programs and open it. But I want it password protected because my computer is used by everyone in my house even though I have my own account on it. Please help! I need to know how to password protect it! Are there different ways for each type of computer? I have a hp pavilion a708 for my PC and my monitor is a hp pavilion f1503

The computer Administrator on XP can access anything, any time ,on a computer EXCEPT password protected files. You have to be using a NTSF file system, which is the format for XP, but only if it was installed on the computer, not upgraded. FAT-32 files cannot be marked private. If it is XP, you need to create users for each user.
Now, in your user manager, tell it to make your folders private. this will make your "My Documents" folders under your login accessible only to you.

The administrator can override this, and if the users are given adinistrator access, anyone can override it.
