I just recently purchased a Gateway computer and it came with a RealTek soundcard installed. It was fine for about a week or two, but now when I play music, the sound will be fine for like 2 minutes, then it will get all scratchy. When I'm playing games, it just instantly gets scratchy and I lose all stereo surround sound. I need some help in figuring this out. Its not the drivers.

When I first brought my pc,my recycle bin was on the bottom right hand corner now it is on the left hand side. I prefer it as it was so how do I put it back?

I got a 2006 Gateway Desktop, with a dual core AMD 64 processer(super fast, multi-task-capable,,,can download, watch media center tv, burn a cd, send an email, browse the web, and listen to radio all at once), with so many GBs of ram, memory, or whatever. I have all the Windows XP, SP2, updates, security fixes, etc. When I install Internet Explorer 7, the start up is messed up saying "get process image" something is an in-valid name or command or something. I use YahooDSL. I turned off my anti-virus and firewall when I downloaded IE7 again yesterday. Then, today, I turn on the computer and "get process image something can't be found" again. This doesn't happen on IE6. I also have IE7 lock up on certain clicks of my mouse like signing into email, or browsing web browsers I went to before that never had problems. I asked this question now a 4th time. There's something about IE7 that is not compatible with (or to?) my computer. I have all the latest updates, security fixes. Help!

Please tell me valuable sources and I really need it. If it would make my computer slower, dont even mention it because my computer is slow enough. Also, if you can tell me how to make a computer faster, you will get a better chance of getting best answer.

i have a fairly new computer, 2 months old, dual core, 2 gig, media center. im having a problem where i cant access some sites that i could access a couple days ago because it says my cookies arent enabled. what could cause this problem. it also wont let me sign onto msn or aim. could this be caused by a virus or spyware? or other reasons.

I am using classic community codec pack.
It stops like after 2 secs, plays 2 secs and again stops 2 secs.
In the properties, it says it is MPEG4 video codec.

I don't want to buy any software if possible but all the free stuff I found so far either didn't work or were just free trials, which also didn't work. I think it is stupid to pay 15 bucks for movies on iTunes when I already own the DVD's, so I really want to use those on my iPod.

I deleted a few programs that I didn't use anymore off of my parent's computer. It said I needed to restart it, so I did. But when it came back from restarting, the screen size had shrunk (it doesn't fill the entire screen), the cursor is about an inch thick, and when you scroll down it moves real slow and in a jumpy motion. I tried to restore it to the day before, but the computer tells me it cannot be done. Anyone know how I can fix these problems? I checked everything on the control panel and I am sure it is simple. I tried to change the screen resolution, and of course tried to adjust it on the monitor controls but that didn't work. Any suggestion??

I taped me & my husband's Christmas time this year. We've uploaded it to the computer. On his computer all is fine & dandy when he plays it in Windows Media Player. We both have the same version of it. But when I play it on mine, it's like it stops & starts & breaks up, it won't just simply play. Is there a setting or something that I can adjust on my computer to fix this? I can always edit it & all on his computer but I'd really like to figure out the problem on mine if I can. Thanks to all for any advice!

Icons disappear for no apparent reason, like the cd/dvd drives in my computer for example will loose there icons and will be replaced by a windows generic icon. The links still work fine though.

Everything is ok when i reboot though but it will happen again a few hours later suddenly when browsing my files in windows for no apparent reason, its not always the same icons like the my documents, control panel recent documents etc... icon's will go as well.

I have two compaq computer s that are the same year or about the same year. I was told that I could take the memory out of one of the compaq computers and adding it to the other computer. I took both computers apart and found the memory(or what I think is the memory) and one of the computers have two grey memory card s and the other computer has 3 grey cards of memory. There are no more slots for extra memory so where do I add the memory. Explain it step by step please.
