I got a 2006 Gateway Desktop, with a dual core AMD 64 processer(super fast, multi-task-capable,,,can download, watch media center tv, burn a cd, send an email, browse the web, and listen to radio all at once), with so many GBs of ram, memory, or whatever. I have all the Windows XP, SP2, updates, security fixes, etc. When I install Internet Explorer 7, the start up is messed up saying "get process image" something is an in-valid name or command or something. I use YahooDSL. I turned off my anti-virus and firewall when I downloaded IE7 again yesterday. Then, today, I turn on the computer and "get process image something can't be found" again. This doesn't happen on IE6. I also have IE7 lock up on certain clicks of my mouse like signing into email, or browsing web browsers I went to before that never had problems. I asked this question now a 4th time. There's something about IE7 that is not compatible with (or to?) my computer. I have all the latest updates, security fixes. Help!

I have seen many people reporting problem with IE 7. If you want you can restore the PC to an earlier configuration to a date just before you down loaded IE7. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html

I don't have the problem, but now I am really considering myself lucky because almost 90% of IE7 users are facing weird, never-before problems. I can advise you only one thing, just uninstall it and go back to IE 6. Or you can use Firefox as I do (I have IE 7 and have used it quite a number of times without any apparent problem, but it is still no match for Firefox).

Tip: Always keep IE(whatever version) as your default browser, if you are using others like Opera or Firefox.

The problem is with a "broadband helper" program that is part of your Yahoo DSL software package.

Navigate to the installation location for SmartBridge which should be something like:

C:\Program Files\[your ISP]\SmartBridge (may not be exactly like this; you need to poke around a bit)

Find the file PSAPI.DLL and rename it to something like PSAPIOLD.DLL

Reboot the computer.

do no longer deliver the blunders record. as quickly as is sufficient. attempt uninstalling it, and reinstalling it. be certain your domicile windows is as much as this factor. verify for updates a pair circumstances while it installs new application (on occasion it takes an older replace to place in yet another). determine your virus checker is as much as this factor. Run a sparkling sweep along with your virus scanner. Then attempt lower back.

IE7 is only a BETA product at the moment and is buggy as hell, i have no idea why you would want to use it anyway...its terrible! get Mozilla Firefox from firefox.com, its WAY better faster and safer....oh and prettier too ;p
