Icons disappear for no apparent reason, like the cd/dvd drives in my computer for example will loose there icons and will be replaced by a windows generic icon. The links still work fine though.

Everything is ok when i reboot though but it will happen again a few hours later suddenly when browsing my files in windows for no apparent reason, its not always the same icons like the my documents, control panel recent documents etc... icon's will go as well.

Right click on ur desktop and choose Arrange icon by from the pop up menu and then make sure that Show desktop icons is checked.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
