1) How many sectors per track are there on a 3 1/2 -inch high-density floppy disk?

2) What two cables are connected to a floppy drive inside a computer?

3)What is the difference between a sector and and a cluster?

5)What is another name for a cluster?

6)How does the format command prepare a disk for use?

7)Whats the purpose of the boot record on a disk?

8)If a floppy drive isnt working, why is it better to replace the drive than to repair it?

9)What might cause the error,"general failure reading drive A"?

10)What might cause the floppy drive light to remain on during a boot?

11)How can you look at a 31/2-inch floppy disk and tell if it is a high-density or double density disk?

12)How do you format a new floppy disk using an OS command? Using Windows Explorer?*

I do not want the box that indicates whether or not I have mail on AIM. I have gotten rid of the box, but the sound still remains. Does anyone know how to get rid of the sound? Thanks. I have a Dell computer--Windows XP.

my computer got infected wtih a trojan stwoyle virus earlier this year. despite my best efforts to remove it, and having scanned it through norton antivirus and investigated by XoftspySE, the problem still remains, and it's driving me crazy !! does anyone out there know a way that i can get rid of it ? i know a bit about computers, but not indepth stuff, so an 'idiots guide to removing trojan horse viruses' would be greatly appreciated. thank u !!!

This morning I was frustrated with one of my other computers because it wouldn’t read my flash drive that I kept taking in and out of one of the front USB ports. It was annoying because I used the flash drive with that computer just last night. Anyway, I restarted the computer and now it won’t load past the BIOS screen.

I doubt it’s the cause of the flash drive, but I felt I should put that in there.

Anyway, I have no idea what to do, it won’t load pass the BIOS screen, and I can’t open the menu’s on the BIOS screen (like the “press tab to open setup” or whatever), it’s like the screen just freezes when it gets there.

Any idea what might be wrong or do you think I should sorry worrying so much over my computers?
