Cos I am trying to hook up this secondary drive as a slave, but when I do it, the computer does not want to boot up. I've tried cable select, as well as manual jumper select. Nothing works. (there are things on that drive that I want to recover)

I am working on recovering some data from a hardrive. I have removed the hardrive from the PC, it's now on a portable drive. I am trying to move back up/move over some files to my laptop from the hardrive, so that I can re-install the OP on my desktop...

There is no way around it, since I already got the Blue screen of death... My Pc is a Compaq Presario 5000. help anyone!

I accidently had an AIM program run since a window popped up saying this program cannot be found what would you like to run? So I clicked AIM without realizing it the window keeps popping up no matter how many times i exit it. I restarted computer and still kept running and wouldn't let me go to wonder icons or to start button for programs. Then I reinstall AIM and still no work. Any suggestions on how to stop this problem or make it stop running continuously?

The insturuction at "0x66869b97" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "read". I really need help, this bugs me because it pops up all of a sudden. I have an antivirus, antispyware, and firewall. Anyone know what i should do, thanks.
