how can i make diffrent connections in windows xp TCP/IP properties couse i have to work on diffrent networks so i have to change IP and sub mask settings every time. i want to save diffrent settings in TCP/IP so when ever i connect to my desired net i'll activate the settings.

when i open a lot of my folders, there is a file called thumbs. the icon is a blue page with gears on it. why is it there and how can i get rid of it without messing up anything.

Can anyone please inform me of camcorders that are Macintosh compatible? I've been researching and so far the only ones I have looked at are only compatible with Windows. A website that lists the camcorders that are compatible would be great! Thanks for your help.

we have broadband/dsl 256K and since we updated online w/ McAfee Security Center we notice websites are sloooooooow as heck loading...it is VERY annoying. help!!!

i was trying to make my letters on my screen bigger,because they had gooten smaller when i printed something. So i went to display properties (settings)custom to make letters bigger.now they are too big. And when i tried to change them back,
i can't reach down to click apply ,because it's out of screen.And i can't pull the screen up any higher.
Also tried changing screeen resolution (to make smaller) but still can't reach down far enough to click apply or ok. HELP PLEASE!!!!

advent t12 xp home edition is what i have. Tried system restore, but have same problem. windows takes a few mins to load up as well. very slow.

I have been adding information into a Microsoft Excel worksheet for the last few days. A couple of days ago i saved the information as usual, the next day i went to open it and it won't open. :-(
Excel opens but the work area is just grey, all the tool bars and everything else is there.
When i open the worksheet i saved in Word i can see the info i have been saving, so its all still there it just won't open.
Any ideas why?

I had a program for web building that had lots of info and I deleted it. Now I would like to have it back without paying to download it again. Is there a way to find it in the guts of my computer? It was on windows 98 SE. Thanks

I recently registered for and installed Sky By Broadband - fine, no probs, downloaded the movies I was interested in, but noticed that even without the program running, the Kontiki delivery manager was using up all my broadband bandwidth from the moment I logged on, until shut-down. It was such heavy useage that it made playing games on-line impossible.

I have now uninstalled the Sky & Kontiki software, and wondered if anyone can let me know if they have had similar issues, or if there is something I can do to limit Kontiki's access to my connection?
