advent t12 xp home edition is what i have. Tried system restore, but have same problem. windows takes a few mins to load up as well. very slow.

u have a problem that needs to be fixed, and it can only be fixed in safemode. you will have to consult your costumer service.

Go into safe mode
Click Start
Click Run
Type in: msconfig
If the box that comes up shows "Diagnostic mode", change this to "Normal mode" and restart the PC.

when you start your computer, keep pressing F8 after checking your memory and CPU and .... just befor loading your windows, there would be a screen wich let you choose between modes. first try "Normal" if it didn't work, next time try "Last known good configuration"

ok..1st make sure you press the F8 button theres a message for u to select runs normally or safe mode ect..

sounds like you have a hardware fault, check system properties for yellow exclamation marks

You must have installed something that was not compatible with your computer.Uninstall it.That should help.
