ok sos i'm trying to get windows service pack 2 cuz i think it would help my other problem (see my other question) but the website says "**** you we're not giving it to you" so where else would i get it than microsoft.com?

uhm...yeah my computer keeps crashing right at start up after the windows xp loading screen. i think it's my video driver so i went into safe mode and tried to reinstall the driver but it says i need to install directX. I got directX off the internet and when i tried to install it it said I already had the latest directX! so i can't reinstall teh driver
my computer was working fine a week ago so idk what happened. if it helps any i have a VisionTek XTASY 9200 vid card and windows XP with Service Pack 1.

How do i delete everything off my computer. I want to get all those trojans viruses worms and such that norton and other things cant detect. Ive noticed my computer go slower.... slower...... slower............... every day and i just want to start fresh. but i dont even know if i have the cd thing because all i remember is getting my dell with it on. all so i was wondering if theres a way to keep a couple programs on my system and leave everything else off. settings..it doesnt give me time. Its not the monitor..I was on the internet when the screen froze. When I turned my pc back on..it goes right into sleep mode. I have disconnected everything and restarted it.. Any Ideas

how do u check your computer settings?

However I have sound...I can't uncheck the "mute" box in sounds section or anything it's permanently stuck as checked and being in "Mute" mode..But like I said, I can hear and adjust the monitors built in speakers....I've tried everything to get it to work (meaning able to check or uncheck the mute box).

I also keep telling the PC that my speakers are "built into monitor, but everytime I reboot, it changes back to showing that I have SEPERATE speakers.

Any suggestions?

i have it saved on my desktop and its 1200x1600 which is like a full screen..... its way too big to send... plus she has dial up and it took 20 minutes to open it!

i have windows xp home edition with RAM 512 and processor
intel 1.7GHZ. pc runs well but when i open large programmes like bitcommet and adobe photoshop elements and and other programmes at a time , it seems computer got frozen and it takes times to respond, i configured virtual memory like in D rive 1000 mb and maximum 3000 mb and i left c drive none, no virtual memory on c drive and in download couple of movie using bit commet so do u think i should change virtual memory if give me value and what else i can do?
