However I have sound...I can't uncheck the "mute" box in sounds section or anything it's permanently stuck as checked and being in "Mute" mode..But like I said, I can hear and adjust the monitors built in speakers....I've tried everything to get it to work (meaning able to check or uncheck the mute box).

I also keep telling the PC that my speakers are "built into monitor, but everytime I reboot, it changes back to showing that I have SEPERATE speakers.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Running on XP 2 year old machine.

Don't forget to change the speaker type, such as 2 speakers, 4 speakers...

If it doesn't solve. I think your sound driver has problem Try to download a new one from ther internet and reinstall it.

Good luck
