What is the purpose of safe mode?

safe mode only runs basic programs needed to run your computer. It is a lot easier for your computer to run in safe mode then in normal mode, because not everything is running. You also try to use safe mode if your computer has a minor problem/virus because sometimes safe mode does not trigger the problem and you can fix it while still in safe mode. It is a very useful tool when trying to figure out what is wrong with your computer.

Safe mode for what? your computer? To load only the files that windows needs to run.. It prevents bad programs from loading when you start your pc so you can delete the files. If its for a web site. its probably so you cant mess things up too badly....

no networking program is working in this mode, and you can be sure no virus or trojan could communicate with a source online, sience some of them need online source to funciton fully. I guess
