settings..it doesnt give me time. Its not the monitor..I was on the internet when the screen froze. When I turned my pc back on..it goes right into sleep mode. I have disconnected everything and restarted it.. Any Ideas

Is it a laptop working on batteries or a Desktop computer?
If Laptop, it could be just that the battery ran out of juice and the machine is forcing itself into sleep mode to save data. So check to see if the power cable is connected and there is power!
If it's PC it could be anything from an annoying virus to a sleep button on your keyboard being pressed down!!! So check the keyboard too!!
If these don't work, you can try restarting in "safe" mode and do a virus scan and check your settings. If the OS is XP try restoring it to a previous restore point...

You can try going into safe mode. When the computer is in the rebooting process, hit the F8 key several times. This should bring up a screen where you can select safe mode.
