It used to work until recently, and I've now done a clean install of windows XP professional, but it still keeps happening. It will play for about 10 secs, then pc reboots. I have a AMD64 3500, 1GB Crucial DDR, Geforce6800 Pro, Soundblaster live 5.1 soundcard, western digital 250GB hard drive, and Acer 19" monitor

earlier my pc was installed with xp home edition...i was able to listen to any audio files...now, i have installed ms xp pro...when i plug in my headphones...there's no audio.

I have the crappiest computer in the entire world, I have an hp pavilion, Celeron, with windows xp. As you all probably know it is the slowest thing ever and I am really getting angry. I know I need memory but I don't know how much or what kind (lol, if there is kinds) to get. I don't want to end up blowing up my computer....please help.

I am a Software Engineer with a Chip Design Company, and I am looking for a powerful Laptop to replace the desktop I have at home. My main development environment would be Linux and Windows for Word/Excel etc. I had a look at Apple MacBook and HP Pavillion. Both had good features but at a price tag of 70K. I am also thinking if it is a good option to wait till Windows Vista is released. Any further models that I can look for and is waiting for Vista worthwhile?
