its a P2P! none P2P are safer!
but nice tool... better scan for viruses after download, before executing!

No file sharing program is 100% safe from viruses. It just depends on what files you download from Limewire. There are many files that carry a heavy risk on the computer, ie porn. Those files usually always have something bad clinging on to it. But if you have a virus shield,you're ok. Firewalls caqn't work on Limewire since the program asks you to disable the firewall to even use it.

if you have an anti-virus protection for your computer like norton. If not, then you need to get it before you download anything from there. I have limewire and there are some viruses that people put on it. Don't download files, or the game Halo. The game Halo files are all viruses. That's about all I can say. Other than I mysef have Norton and use limewire almost everyday. I've never gotten any viruses. Also don't download anything for real plarer, they also tend to be viruses most of the time.

LimeWire is a safe progeam, and a safe site. But that is not always true about the programs or files you download from it.

There's nothing wrong in using limewire...if you have an antivirua program installed on your pc,it will help you alot.
Just scan any file you download from limewire or any other p2p network before openning them.
If the antivirus detect a virus don't open it.....just right click on any file you have downloaded and select scan for virus...(only if you have antivirus).

I have been using Limewire and havent had any problems so far...mind you It depends on who you are sharing files with,its a chance we take!

yes it is a safe site, but be sure to be really careful about the programs you download..i learned that the hard way. i tried downloading a program and i got about 15 viruses like trojan downloaders, adware, spyware, all that stuff. and i had to get my computer completely rebuilt. and everything on my computer is gone now!

You should be cautious of viruses on certain websites always have a virus program installed on your computer to keep them out. Also look for a private policy at the bottom and a title of ownership.
