when i shutdown my pc, there's always a message: it's now safe to turnoff your computer. but the problem is that when i press the power button, my pc restart instead of turning off! how can i turn off this message?

just name all the things that are essencial to your computer, if you want to build one from scratch, like, what to buy, which things...
like these things, for example: processor case, monitor, printer, ...., just name the things you would put inside the case..

I recently tried to change my laptops CPU because the pentium celeron 1ghz has running too slow. I couldnt get to the CPU, so i gave up. after putting everything back together, i turned it on and the monitor is black. the power is on but i cannot hear any hard-drive noise. ive taken it apart again, put my finger on the pentiums gem with the power on and it doesnt even get hot! what shall i do? whats wrong with it?

I have a problem with my computer when I download photos most recently trying to download family photos from an FTP site. The pictures load messed up. Sometimes the colors are way off, or it turns gray in the middle of the photo loading. I don't believe it has anyting to do with the source of the photos bc it has happened many times. Does anyone know why this is happening, or what I can do?

My sister is a hacker. I'm sorry to say this, but it's true. She always feels like she needs to know every little thing about me- she read all my diaries when we were younger and goes through my personal files. Now she's trying to hack into my e-mail account. I'm worried about this, because she knows my birthday and could easily answer my security question. I have lots of private e-mails from friends that are NOT her business to know, and I never delete an e-mail because I just can't bring myself to do that. What should I do?

Ok I have been trying to make a standalone player for my myspace. At the site it says to search for the music and make a playlist. I need to know if I can make my itunes into mp3's and put them on there and why when I search for songs like it says to on the site, a little box pops up that says Invalid menu handle. When I am reading my e-mail or doing my homework and I click to go to something else microsoft give me an error message that it is not responding or it just takes forever to go to another page. And this only happens when I am using my laptop computer, it doesn't do that when I am on my PC.
