I have a problem with my computer when I download photos most recently trying to download family photos from an FTP site. The pictures load messed up. Sometimes the colors are way off, or it turns gray in the middle of the photo loading. I don't believe it has anyting to do with the source of the photos bc it has happened many times. Does anyone know why this is happening, or what I can do?

do you have anti-virus software upto date and firewall, anti-spam etc? update all of them first then switch off pootr and start in safe mode (pressF8, probably) run all your anti-nasty stuff programs and see whats on your pootr. its probably some adware stuff trying to get in.

It's possible the photos were corrupted when uploaded, this is not as uncommon as you think, if you consistently get bad files then perhaps you should ask whoever uploaded them to check them and re-upload the bad files. I've seen files where the pictures have bands of colour, two thirds OK then the bottom half grey with dots or just half or less of an entire photo. You obviously cant fix it yourself, you can just download the good ones and take note of the names of the bad ones to pass on to the up-loader. Good luck!
