There is no "START" button, but when I hover over the area where it is supposed to be, there is an hourglass. The computer does not respond to "Ctl, Alt, Dlt" either. How can I at least get to the system recovery? (F10 doesn't work)

I read saw a video from a reliable source that wrapping your Serial ATA cable with a pencil is good for your PC build since it takes less space and thus improves air flow. Is this true? Is it recommended? Will it damage the cable? Thank you.

I am not vey computer literate. Im afraid to mess it up but I also cant afford to pay someone to do it. My current master drive is a 200GB...the one i found laying around was from a different computer. it is a 40GB..what is the easiest way to go about doing this...remember im not the greatest when it comes to installing hardware on my computer..I am running windows XP and I have all new updates for my OS...anybody know where i can find a website to help for a computer newbie like me??? or if you could help me out step by step. As new ATi HD 3870 card are working with DX 10.1 is that a better choice i mean non of other card works with DX10.1 ....

and is 2900XT is better than 8800 GT i mean not just games overall like vidoes HD movies and its has sound card on it .

It seems like constant scanning of your entire disk for new or changed files would put a lot of strain on your hard drive. Will a hard drive that is backed up every night fail sooner than one that is only backed up every week? Have any studies been done on this?

my motherboard and cpu is a EcS NForce6M-a with a AMD X2 dual core 6000+. how do i overclock it? i think its having trouble reading my memory. i bought 2 sticks of 2gigs of memory and it only read 3.5 gigs total, but should be 4 total gigs? when i do a memory test the computer just shuts down and the power goes off mid way of the test. is overclocking a good idea ?

check video out it says AMD radeon is better at most games if it is 2900XT must be better than 8800GT cos 3870 HD is has much less.....i think it might be ture becuase of all the stream process and GDD4 ?

When i am trying to disconnect my USB Flash drive, then following message apears.

Hi, I've just noticed that I am missing about 5 Gb in hard drive space. I have checked my files in my compute,r and I am only using about 4 GB, yet in total I am using 9 GB so were is all the space gone. Can any one help. I ran a disk check and at the end it say that I have 16 KB in bad clusters, what are bad clusters do I need to fix them and if so how. Are the bad clusters the reason that I am missing hard drive space.

I'm doing a Cybercorp project and I'm supposed to "build" a personal computer. I chose to do a Hi-tech personal computer instead of Home and Business. I chose an ATX Motherboard with Power Pin: 24.. I'm trying to find a nice power supply that is best for my hi-tech personal computer.. (Like for gaming and animations and all that hi-tech stuff)

I INSTALLED A 500W POWER SUPPLY AND A NVIDIA 8800GT OC. IT WORKED GREAT FOR THE FIRST WEEK THEN MY PC SLOWED DOWN. I have some files I want to transfer. I have a LAN but the other computer is not hooked up with the Net. I need to transfer the files over to the other one like WORD files and the NET files to get it going. What kind of wires do I need?
