Hey! I got a problem with my computer, the thing is that one day I turned it off and turned it back on in 1 second, and gave me the screen where asks you to boot the system as safe mode, and many options, including start windows normally, after I make my choice, it will try to load the OS but when I see the Windows login screen, it restarts and then does the same thing, I tried to reset bios (removing the battery) tried with a boot disk, I put another hard drive on my computer, and nothing will load, I can see bios, I can make changes but even If I have a blank hard drive it'll give me the options to restart windows... I have no idea what to do I hope you do! Thanks in advance... and take it to a repair store is out of the question.

I have a plan to buy CD writer or DVD writer but what is the best? and does DVD burn all files like mp3, CD, VCD,DVD,DOCUMENTS (paper), CD room, divx? rather than CD writer? pls help. thnx in advance.

I've been thinking about getting an external hard drive, but I heard the transfer rates for USB1.1 makes it useless. But how do I check if I have 1.1 or 2.0? My computer is about five years old now, by the way.

I recently had to wipe out my hard drive and reload the programs since I had a worm. What I didn't realize was that I didn't have the disc to my digital camera. I saved my pics that were taken and loaded already, but now without that program, I can't load any new pics in or change the already loaded pics. I have a Kodak Easy Share camera. Is there any way I can get or download the program for my camera?

I would be on for an hour or two then this little window from the bottom pops up and says my virtual memory is low and it may cause some things not to go through. It's been going on for about a week or so now. I deleted lots of old games and other junk but that did not work. What else can I do? What is Virtual Memory by the way?

I have a SATA300GB hard disk. I would like to conenct it to an IDE Motherboard, or to be more specific THIS:

we have a computer that does not have any onboard parallel port. we have a software that need a dongle on printer port. can we connect this dongle to a PCI parallel port? I tried it with an ordinary PCI parallel port, but our software could not recognize the dongle. how can we solve this problem?

When I go into Capture in VideoWave 8, it doesn't show my JVC MiniDV Video Camera listed, there are actually no options to work with. I have my MiniDV Video Camera hooked up to my computer via USB cable. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this to work? I'd like to upload my videos to Youtube.com. I would have used Windows Movie Maker, but it requires Windows XP, and I have Windows 2000, so therefore I had to go with Roxio VideoWave 8. Can someone please help? Thank you very much.

How do I reach the command prompt without signing in to the computer? My Windows 2000 isn't starting and it tells me to do a CHKDSK /F but it isn't starting, how do i get to the command prompt?
