If you do not have a computer, you can take it to a one hour photo store. They will back it up onto a CD for you to have a permanent record. Then when you have access to a computer, you can just pop in the CD and view your photos in any photo viewing program. It is important to back up to CD even if you have a computer so that you always have the original files in storage (just like carefully storing negatives so you can get prints made later). Speaking of prints, the one hour photo store can also make prints from your jpegs.

YOu do not really have to backup your camera - just your pictures. You can do this by burning them to a cd from your computer.
