It's a 5.1 PCI card and I have no other speakers on the system yet.My OS is Windows XP.

I have two LCD displays, one is on my laptop and my desktop also has one. I recently bought my laptop and was using it for a little while, and came over to my desktop and turned it on and it looked extremely dark! It was because the laptop is turned up to full brightness and I turned the brightness on my desktop down a while ago and just got used to it, didn't notice how low it was until after using my laptop.

So anyway, should I turn down the brightness on my laptop too? Would it be good for my eyes, or is it really no different? It's only that bright when I have it plugged into the power supply.

I want to buy a new monitor to replace my CRT. My CRT supports 1600x1200 resolution. I do not want to buy an LCD that support 1680x1050. Overall there are fewer pixels with 1680x1050 than 1600x1200 and it does not support 1080p resolution.

What are my options for an LCD monitor that supports 1920x1080?

I have a compaq laptop about 2 years old, 1 gig RAM and 64 megs of integrated video memory on a nVidia GeForce4 440 video card. I just added a second monitor, 22" Acer (very nice!), and I use it as a dual monitor display. I noticed my computer runs more slowly in terms of opening programs like photoshop etc. Is there anything I can do to speed up my computer to how it was before, without losing my new dual-screen setup?

i just bought a 19" envision flat panel/screen monitor from best buy. i used it for a couple of days, and now that i look i see like tiny green dot in the upper right hand corner. Should i go exchange this monitor or what is wrong. Thank you

tthe volume on my computer is soooooooo low i need to get near the speakers to barely hear something and having the speakers at the maximum level of volume and get near the speakers to barely hear something is there something wrong because i already check the wires but that is ok what do i do to fix them is there something wrong on the computer volume or something?

It's not a real hologram, but it is often misconceived as such. It is technically a stereogram and an optical illusion with mirrors. I want to find out how to do this for an animation project I have coming up next year. This is not a hologram that one would make with a laser pointer and shiny metallic film, as seen on Visa cards or official NFL merchandise, but something entirely different, closer to the "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi" scene from Star Wars. I know it's possible as I've seen it with my own eyes, and I know I can do it, because the Sega game was in arcades ten years ago, and you people are ingenious enough to come up with a solution. I was on it and then the screen went black, I held down the on button for 10 seconds the it went "BEEP" I pressed start again and "ACER" came up but then the screen went black, I did it again and the same thing happened, We got the computer just after christmas, I'm really scared I broke it.

My notebook screen is black. If I use a flashlight i can see what is on the screen. I have tried adjusting the settings for my monitor nothing helps. The notebook is not quite 2yrs old. It gave me no warning fine one minute and black the next. Can someone please give me some advice.

When I got home from work, the display in my monitor is now too wide. The vertical part of the screen is doing fine except that it really is too wide. I tried adjusting using the PROPERTIES and changed the SETTING but it won't budge and then restoring the system of the computer by going to Accessories and clicking on SYSTEM RESTORE and selected a few days ago but still no luck. I also tried the MENU option in the monitor where you can adjust the brightness and the contrast of the monitor. I've already tried adjusting the breadth and width of the display. Im having a headache now, can anyone please help me?

I don't know how this happened but my sister was the one who used the computer last night. She must have played a game or something which made the monitor display too wide. *I have read somewhere that when you play CERTAIN games, it will automatically adjust the display on your monitor.* Maybe something like this happened. Im not blaming anyone.
