My notebook screen is black. If I use a flashlight i can see what is on the screen. I have tried adjusting the settings for my monitor nothing helps. The notebook is not quite 2yrs old. It gave me no warning fine one minute and black the next. Can someone please give me some advice.

Your backlight went out. There are no settings to fix this. I hope you are still coverred under warranty because the backlight isn't cheap nor easy to replace. Good Luck HTH.

the backlight burned out, take it in for service.

Hi. Your back light is either broken or turned way down, but my guess is broken.

your backlight is bad take it to your local computer shop and have it repaired.
