The resolution also depends upon your monitor. so upgrade your monitor's driver and probably you can see the 32 bit option in the properties.

Properties of What? For Windows programming, it seems that 24 bits and 32 bits produce the same colour and brightness with 8 bits for each of red, green and blue. JPEG uses 24 bits.
32 bits for colour was not provided on ancient graphics cards, probably because of graphics memory size limitations. I have not seen 24 bits hardware for a long time. Of late, 3D hardware acceleration is only provided at 16 and 32 bits, using slow software emulation at other bit settings.
If it is an old laptop/PC with shared memory for graphics, you might need to increase graphics memory size in BIOS. For example, 1024 x 768 x 32 bits needs 3 MB (9 MB for 3D). Similarly, an old graphics card might not have sufficient RAM.

The property u r trying to enable depends upon three things..
1) the monitor you have
2) the graphics memory the monitor uses (supported by the motherboard) or a VGA card
3) the monitor's current device driver
Go to the monitors specifications and check if its capable of supporting 32 bit colours... if you find it can not then get a new monitor
In the manufacturer's site you can find a new device driver too that can support 32 bit colours, or if the monitor can support but your mother board can not then get a VGA card...

If the 32 bit option is not available, then your either your video card does not support that many colors (not all do) or you need to update the driver for the card. Go to the website of the manufacturer and see if they have a newer driver for the card.

You'd need to buy a new VGA (Video) card, or change the driver. But, finding the driver, which is the hardware's mechanical software system, can only be done at the driver's manufacturer's website. But if that doesn't work, try replacing the whole VGA card with a better one.
