The color is kinda dim, I tried changing the color but nothing happens and it's constantly freezing on me. This started happening like two days ago after my brother was on it.

Thank your brother. Then think twice about letting him use it aagai. He was probably playing a game and it blew out the driver or he was downloading "special" pictures. He should at least had the honesty to let you know you had a problem. Don't worry, all youre going to have to do is reload the vid driver and ban your brother from your computer

try checking the cable is securly connected to the video card and the monitor.

or if that dosnt work try increasing the contrast and brightenss on the monitor, some monitors have preset colour configs, if there are some on the monitor and there is a option where it says user or user defined, select that.

If it is a CRT and not a LCD, try the Degaussing feature usually accessible through the monitor's menu.

Do u have buttons for contrast/Brightness on front of your monitor , Just check them out and adjust as u want

Swap the monitor out with another one. This is the only true way to determine if it's the monitor or your PC.

Right click on your desktop and click properties and check your video settings.

You may need to re-install your video drivers if you cannot reset your video settings in your property box
