MEMORY HELP i have a HP Pavilion dv5000 lap top and i want to upgrade to 2 gigs of ram the problem is im not sure what type of ram to get i cant seem to find my computer model on any web site

Personally I think these babies are sweet, 150 dollars for a laptop isnt bad. So it doesn't come with much storage or windows, I would take a hand crack over them any day. Am I the only person that would actually want to buy one?

I currently have a sony Vaio, but the FPS is really slow on counter strike source, the graphics card I have at the moment is Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 with 128mb. If possible I'd like to buy one second hand for less than £50, any sugguestions on what to get?

My husband prefers a program that will only run on a Windows 98. It will not work with compatibility mode for XP-he tried. I bought him a laptop without an OS so he could install his own 98 CD.
It won't work. This is the error message: "Hard disk boot sector invalid." The computer does not have a floppy drive.
Do you know how to get this Windows 98 to install?

I would like to know Windows Vista needs over 1000MB of RAM (I think 1024mb) but can i run it with 512MB of RAM?

I've already sent questions on google answers if i can run vista and they said i could but i heard this is better so can i?

On my laptop there isn't a volume icon or anything. There isnt any sound coming from my laptop whatsoever...I looked my my control panel and there's nothing there that has to do with volume. Is there anything I can do to get it back. Or how bout a donwnload???

I've done all I can find to do. Getting 0x19 Bad_Pool_Header BSOD at random times. Usually when I exit out of a game. Have wiped it 3 times and even have a new hard drive now and I'm still getting the error. I have switched XP cd's, I have redownloaded the drivers.

2.0GHz Centrino, 1GB Ram, Nvidia 6800 Ultra, 80GB HD, and Windows XP w/SP2 and all the latest updates as of this morning.

keyboards-what other fonctions do keys have or combination of

I have a Laptop Fujitsu-Siemens.Past two days laptop suddenly shut down automatically within an hour after the switching on.It becomes hot.I checked the hard disk but its working without trouble.There are no disk error detected.is Anyone know the diagnostic of the laptop?Thanks

etc.argos,currys on tight budget of £350-£550 needs good graphics,
1gb or more of meomery,vista,40gb hard drive or more,at least 14inch screen or more,wireless enabled and should be able to record and play dvd's and cd's.

I know that thre is software that get tell you if you can run Vista on your PC but you need Internet for that and i don't have internet on my Laptop. I just have it on my PC and it isn't wireless. I got low wages and I can't buy a wireless adapter.

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS920. I would like to upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium. I have upgraded the RAM to 1.5 GB. However, when I run the Window Vista Upgrade Advisor, it says that my video card (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 with up to 128MB Dynamically Shared Video Memory) may not display Aero. Is this true? I'd like to know if I need a new video card now before I get the upgrade rather than later.
