I have been hearing that the 8900 or 9 series will be released in november. Want to buy my stuff to upgrade my pc in novmber but wanted to know a date it will be releaded. would it be nov 1st? If so for example a geforce 8800 gtx cost $550 and geforce 8800 gts $400, how much in money do you think the cards would go down and how fast, would it take months, days, or the RELEASE day of the 9 series to see a big or little price drop. Want to get the geforce 8800 gtx but right now is a bit to much, thx for the help.

hey I made a video which goes for 5 minutes and has 2 songs included. No special effects just basic cutting and editing and titles. when i render it takes FOREVER, it took 45+ minutes to render that as .wmv (modified for good quality) and ended up 41.2mb. is this normal or slow?

Heres my specs
pentium 4 processor
1.5gb DDR ram
128mb ATI radion grapics card
heaps of hdd space over 150+ gb
windows xp sp2 btw

What needs upgrading to speed up the saving time and how would it help? Thanks heaps

It's so frustrating! Everytime I play an fps game (first person shooter) my mouse freezes and gets stuck on the screen for a few seconds. I have to vigorously move the mouse around to get it moving again. I know it's not performance issues, my computer is only 1 year old. Is it the surface of my mouse pad? I have a Logitech MX Revolution laser mouse. I bought it because my old mouse was doing the same thing.

How do I stop my mouse from constantly freezing and getting stuck on my screen? It's getting me killed!

It is an Acer Aspire M5100. I bought it at Best Buy. The only way that I can get the sounds to work is if I plug in tot he head phone jack. That is in the front and I wasnt to use the speaker jacks in the back of the computer. I have a subwoofer with 2 speakers. The speakers plug in the the subwoofer and the subwofer has a jack that plugs in to the computer. There are like 6 speaker outputs in the back of the compuiter, but none of them work. Please help.

The Item came with a driver Mini-CD but there are at least 100 files with no proper information and the customer service was useless.

Everytime I put a disc into my e drive, It wont load up on its own....I try to load it up and all will let me do is re-format the disc? I have not had this problem in the past, but now I can't even load up a disc with pictures on it....please help me...

I bought a Xion Onyx computer tower and I was wondering what kind of motherboard would fit with the rear IO panel on the tower? All the motherboards i've looked at don't look like they would fit into that IO panel.

Hey everyone, I am currently just finishing up a computer build

300 W PSU
160 GB Hitachi HDD
Samsung Writer Master DVD Combo drive
3 GB 400 Mhz ram (i believe it's pc3200)
MSI 7207 (K8NGM2-H) Motherboard
Onboard Sound
Onboard Graphics Geforce 6100 128 MB Shared

Everything is going just according to plan, i think....
However, everything is brand new, and thus there is
a) No Operating system
b) the HDD is not formatted
c) the DVD drive is not formatted (either that or not being recognized)

So how do I get around this dillema?
My DVD drive does not allow me to open tray (it is not being recognized) thus i cant insert a bootable windows xp cd, which is useless since my HDD isn't formatted and partitioned.

Any suggestions?

Can i use an external drive of some sort?

Confused..

Please help!

I'm planning on purchasing an Nvidia GeForce 7600(Either GS or GT..Which is better?) PCI Express X 16. My comp is a HP Pavilion a1430n with crap integrated graphics. I am going to have to get another power supply also, mine right now is a HIPRO 300w. What power supply should I get? Should I buy another one? I want to make sure that everything will fit together when I get these two items. Thanks for any help!
