Would it even be wise to do so if I could? Its just your standard USB drive, size, shape. About the weight of a key. And if so how much postage do you suppose that would be?

I would put it in a small box. Standard mail is handled pretty roughly.

It received't make it. Envolopes go via many styles of sorters that use compressing wheels to pass the envlope. Any merchandise that isn't very flat (which comprise pens, erasers, SD playing cards, usb drives) will easily jam the device, and maximum likely will be lost in transit. USPS must have CD circumstances bins for a pair funds, and those might want to do, yet a classic envelope received't.

I certainly can't see why you wouldn't be able to. I've sent different devices in the mail before and had no problem. I don't think it would damage the device in any way.
The cost should be pretty cheap as well. Since the weight is so small, I'd expect it to be a dollar or two maybe even just stamps.

hopes this helps

Yes, you just need postal insurance, and all you need to do is take it down to the post office with you and they will take care of everything from there.
