i recently bought a external hardrive for backing-up stuff and pictures anyway i need to transfer stuff between two computers and i dont want to pay for a pen drive is there anyway to use it on both computers? or is it restricted to 1 machine?

If it is just a normal external hard drive then yes you can move it to a different PC just as you would with a pen drive.

Hi. Most external drives use USB, so yes you can. The drive is more likely to be damaged in transit though and is heavier.

i guess they do but they are not that easy to carry on and they may take longer to be recognized by windows as a storage device, i have had some troubles installing them on windows vista and windows server 2003
