Currently i only have one system fan, i checked to see where and how it is connected, its connected to a 3 pin connector right next to a larger connector which is the CPU fan connector. I looked for more of the same connectors but couldn't find any so my mainboard can only have one system fan?

Im looking for a new graphics card and i got a good deal for a nvidia geforce 8500 gt. But im kind of iffy on buying it because i dont know if it supports pixel shader 3.0. Most games coming out require graphics cards with 3.0, so itll be kind of pointless to buy a card that cant play the game i buy.

If you have two RAMS of unequal sizes like 256MB and 512 MB both at 533MHz speed. Then they will not work to full. Am I right?

If you have two RAMS of equal sizes like both 256MB but one at 533MHz speed and other at 400MHz speed. Then they will not work to full. Am I right?

If you have two RAMS of unequal sizes and unequal speeds like 256MB at 533MHz and 512 MB at 400MHz. how will system equivalently be?

OK, so when I bought my laptop it came with Windows XP installed, no disc. However this version of windows broke...something about a file missing...anyway luckily the laptop has an in-built system recovery...however I couldn't get onto the desktop to activate it...so I installed a less than reputable version of Windows XP onto my laptop(deleting everything on the C: drivet) so that I would be able to run the recovery system...which is stored on a seperate drive called RECOVERY.

However the usual link, found in System Tools is no longer there...but the drive is...how do I boot from that drive?

after putting the virgin disc in it starts to load and then says we need to install a ethernet card but it allready has one installed,so,how do i check to see if its working and is there another way of connecting to the internet without using the disc,many thanks and happy new year.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300. My computer is no longer reading my hard drive, nor the operating system. It won't boot in safe mode, or any other mode for that matter and system recovery isn't working either. I'm not concerned with saving the computer itself, however, I do have photos on it that cannot be replaced. Is there any way to save my files??? Thanks for any help!!!

Read some review,

Intel's site has info on the 945 chipset and it says 4GB is possible, but howcome dell only limited to 2gb? Have anyone have solution or have tried this before? Or running their 6400 with 4GB? Thanks.

I installed windows vista on my laptop and I love it!

Previously, when I had windows xp I would login by having my thumb print read by a built-in scanner. I have noticed that this feature is not available on vista as it was on xp, is there some sort of addon I can get in order to enable it on vista?

Rather than reinstalling xp just for the sake of the fingerprint scanner, what are my other options?

I recently bought a brand new Comstar 1 TB (Terabyte) Hard Drive for $179.99 with a data transfer rate of 480 Mbps, Data buffer of 16MB, seek time of <11ms, and RPM of 7200. Great deal... the electronics shop sold out within 2 hours of opening but, recently I discovered with the rapid change of technology and exponential growth of data storage, I am guessing within a year my HD will be used up by applications, software, video, music etc- especially with UHDV...
(6 G.B. per minute) With high quality movie production projects coming my way, my "small 1 TB H.D." will be used up so fast. I've read somewhere on the internet they were using stabilizing ferroelectric materials in conjuction with water to expand storage spaces capable with 12.8 petabytes. With technology expanding, the devlopment of exabyte Hard Drives will come maybe ten years. Can anyone clarify on this technology with transfer rates, and such?

It says cannot load device for this hardware the driver may be corrupted or missing. (code 39)
It is a TSST corp CD/DVDW TS-H652D ATA device.

ok i have a 750 gb western digital hard drive and i downloaded the zune software to a local disk on my computer... which has no affect on my external.... and later i could not open anything i had downloaded from my external.... whenever i plug the cable into my computer it does recognize the hard drive as well as when i plug it into other computers but i cannot open any of the files on any computer.... anyone know what happened and where i should start my trials be it through microsoft and zune hardware problems, or with western digital? all in all, can anyone tell me what happened?

having 3 connectors.one for the 80gb hdd and another for cd/dvdrom.so

need help with my printer i just got it for a friend and i want to scan picz only ....when i turn it on it says error:lightmagenta ink cartridge error cartridge replacement is necessary. press the color button to begin.
and i want to scan picz ....it won't let me ....only the copy button is on .i can't press the scan button...and when i go to the Epson smart panel it says "unable to access the scanner because it is not ready or another application is using it. please make sure that the scanner is on and connected to you computer or close all scanning applications ....
