I have a Dell Inspiron 9300. My computer is no longer reading my hard drive, nor the operating system. It won't boot in safe mode, or any other mode for that matter and system recovery isn't working either. I'm not concerned with saving the computer itself, however, I do have photos on it that cannot be replaced. Is there any way to save my files??? Thanks for any help!!!

No, I did not back up my files. Yes, I'm an idiot for that. Thank you.

Power off machine, turn over, locate the HARD DRIVE cover (should have an icon like a disk on it)
carefulle unscrew if you have screwdriver to fit, and check drive is seated properly.

If it is, and it still fails, as you clearly have access to another PC, try getting a 2.5" HDD caddy to connect to USB and see if you can read the drive that way. If not you might need to invest in some proferssional help.

I'd have thought if the photos were so important you'd have kept a backup,m but I know no one ever remembers the 3 ruiels of computers (Backup. Backup and Backup again ) until it's too late

Simply restore them from your back-up media.

You have been making back-ups to a separate media on a regular basis haven't you? Or did you expect that the Dell would last forever and ever?
