can i put ddr2 type of graphics card into a ddr type of motherboard?

ANYTIME! Do not confuse system RAM on motherboard with graphics memory. They need not be the same. You should consider the faster gddr3 graphics memory.

Uhm, DDR and DDR2 are for RAM sticks, not graphic cards.

AGP, PCI-E and PCI are standards for graphic cards.
