I installed windows vista on my laptop and I love it!

Previously, when I had windows xp I would login by having my thumb print read by a built-in scanner. I have noticed that this feature is not available on vista as it was on xp, is there some sort of addon I can get in order to enable it on vista?

Rather than reinstalling xp just for the sake of the fingerprint scanner, what are my other options?

You need to install the Vista driver for the fingerprint reader. You need also to check that all your other hardware drivers are working, they all need Vista versions.

which version of vista do you have?

normally, the fingerprint reader is automatically set on the computer

if you have a clean vista, you can visit windows update or any link you find on your computer that may come in handy
