Any printer will work on a PC/lappy and you should get a CD to install the software for it. I use a ink-jet printer as its cheaper than a Lazar and give gd results. I recommend a ink-jet myself.

I have HP Deskjet F380 which has a built in scanner and had no problems in setting up the software, just a case of inserting the CD into the CD ROM drive and away it goes.

you can use any printer because the software will automatically start the set up wizzard.

I have two printers. One is a 3-in-1 coppier, scanner, printer with digital camera reader slots. It is an inkjet which I use for photo printing.

My other printner is a Konica-Minolta PagePro lazer Jet which I use for quantity printing.

Pretty easy to set up and you will always get help on here.
I have a H.P. Photosmart 8050 great printer but have had trouble with it since day 1 and H.P. have never answered my e-mails???? Best a luck with your choice, you do need to bare in mind cartridges are expensive to replace, so you need to know there are plenty of places stocking maybe compatible one's?? some may disagree with compatible ones??
