If I have a dual-core at X speed, but the minimum requirements to a game are a single core of greater than X speed (but not more than 2X speed), will I be able to run the game?

I have a Dell Dimension Desktop 2400. I'm not sure what processor we have, or even if we have one! But if I didn't buy a new processor and what not, would Photoshop still be compatible with my computer?

I see that the ink cartages cost about $100.00 each and there's 4 of them.Might as well throw it out and buy a new printer would be cheaper.

I just installed a dual core processor into my computer and I was wondering if there was anything I had to do to make my games recgonize it. I have Crysis, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Bioshock, and The Orange Box, all games I heard use multithreading. So would there be a setting or something I need to change, or should it happen automatically?

Well, I just bought Call of Duty 4. It requires a NVIDIA Geforce 6600 or better. I found that my current video card isn't close to that.
Would any of these video cards work with what is required?
-XFX Geforce 8400 Gs Video Card-512 Mb DDR2
-EVGA Geforce 7300 GT/ 512 Mb DDR2
-Diamond Radeon HD 2400 Pro Video Card- 512 MB DDR2
Will any of these work for CoD4?

I had an older esystem laptop which burnt videos fine with sothink dvd maker.But the new acer converts video files but fails to burn them.Could the built in norton anti-virus have something to do with it?.I have also tried win-avi dvd burner but that did'nt work either.I am loosing my patience with it.Please does anyone have a solution for me.

I was thinking about that dell that comes in pink and all of the different colors, but I don't know yet. I'm a teen and don't need anything expensive or complex (I don't have that much to spend). Under $900 please. I'd love to have a MAC, but I can't afford it. I need it to help a USB port for my flash drive, a CD/DVD drive, and Windows vista or XP. Anyone reccomend anything? son was having SLOW issues, had geek squad over for a check up, said hard drive was full, deleted a lot of crap, it still runs like a snail, he was told you can empty hard drive(shows 3/4 available) BUT INFO IS STILL STORED AND WILL SLOW IT DOWN, MIGHT AS WELL BUY A NEW ONE, SO HE DID, NOW LET ME TELL YOU/ I SAID I THOUGHT IT WAS HIS NEW dsl BOX, SO HE BUYS A NEW COMPUTOR AND GUESS WHAT IT IS STILL SLOW,, MY QUESTION IS..
