you can buy one from anywhere online such as ebay, dabs, scan, ebuyer, amazon, pc world and so on

you're dell should already have an ethernet card, built in... just check you're manual diagrams it will show you where it is on the computer....
ethernet cards are for net working, either the world wide web or local net works systems....

the ethernet allows you to connect to the internet
the ethernet should be already inside the dell
if you're running on vista (well that took me like 2 hours to connect it)
read the manual -_- it helps
