My printer started acting up and I couldn't seem to figure out the problem, so I just recently bought a new printer. I now need to dispose of the old one, but I know I shouldn't just throw it in the trash. Any suggestions?

Contact the maker of your old printer, they have to take it back and dispose of it properly. When you first bought it there should have been a mailing label to send it to, but like me you probably threw it out years ago. If it is not too late, save the shipping label and instructions for your new one. A few years from now, you will thank me!

Donate it to your nearest Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc... They will write you a donation price you can have deducted from your taxes. Make sure you present your form to your tax prep person.

I would call Office depot and ask them.

Me personally would just throw it in the trash.

Donate it to a school, they ''dissect'' them in class.
