Neither. For a laptop its much easier to replace the keyboard than trying to fix a single key. If your lappy is covered under warranty, call your computer manufacture and have them replace the keyboard. Otherwise search eBay for a keyboard for your laptop's model. They are very cheap and easy to install. If you don't feel comfortable to do it yourself take the laptop to a local computer shop. A keyboard replacement shouldn't cost you that much. It takes about 5 minutes to install.

It's difficult, but you should be able to snap the old button back into place. BE CAREFUL! There are some tiny pieces holding the buttons on. Worst case, you'll have to buy a new keyboard, but you ca get them cheap on Ebay.

either replace the key or the entire keyboard ... keyboards themselves aren't expensive ... I purchased a new keyboard for an older Dell direct from Dell for $36.00 including freight from Singapore ... there is a knack to fitting them though ... Good Luck
