The multitude of portable DVD players on the market are usefull only for as long as one has an unseen DVD.
Unlike the usually bulky presentation of portable TVs, the slimline DVD make them readily inclusive in baggage, briefcases and workbags of the mobile populace.
Many people, including travellers, road warriors and shift workers are often "out of the loop" with current events due to occupational or other considerations. TVs provide the link when available.
As the major componentry of DVDs -- screen, audio, power supply -- are in common with TVs, why is not a tuner and aerial included? Alternately, are add-on convertors available for any compact mobile DVD players (or even laptops)?
