Should I buy a LCD or TFT monitor?

Question

I want to buy a new monitor but dont know which one is best.

In want to get a new monitor to replace my old CRT monitor

LCD = liquid crystal display
TFT = thin film transistors.
they are not a same thing. also there's no TFT display.
TFT's should use with other kind of displays like LCDs, flat panels and projections to improve the image quality.
so if you want you can get a TFT LCD display.

Mani B is technically right, but for practical purposes the other people are right on. TFT is a technology that is used on LCD monitors, hence you have plain LCD monitors, and then TFT LCD monitors, which are better. However plain LCD monitors are not even made anymore, so if you buy a new LCD monitor, it will have TFT, so in reality, not even a choice you need to worry about.

Hi there - LCDs and TFTs are the same type of screen.

CRTs are the large TV-like ones.

LCDs are obviously better in terms of space-saving, wheras CRTs are known to produce a better colour spectrum, although this is less of an issue with modern monitors.

i take advantage of a customary liquid crystal exhibit visual exhibit unit (22") to play video games, and am very happy with it. Widescreen is nice for action picture watching adventure although i'm no longer too particular of video games. own options be counted maximum right here, so i might choose for the customary liquid crystal exhibit. Works good with the computing gadget too.
