I have an old Hewlett Packard scanner and I was told I need a scuzzy card. How can I get one? Do you buy it or download it. What is it exactly? Thanks for any help..

It's pronounced the way you are spelling it. ScuZeee. It's spelled SCSI. You purchase one, it's a SCSI controller card. They are similar to SATA or SATA II Controller cards. Somewhat pricey for the good ones too.

Adaptec has a reputation of making really reliable SCSI controllers.

A decent SCSI controller will cost you much more than a decent all in one scanner printer fax with wireless built in.

It's a SCSI card, and take cable for scanner toa PC shop and ask for 1.

Be aware that the old SCSI 2 that scanners tend to use is now obsolete, so you'll likely need a new cable / converter, and make sure you HAVE DRIVERS for the scanner that will work on your version of windows first.

To be honest a new USB scanner may be cheaper than a SCSI card

Scuzzy was made by Apple back in the 80's. Like it name, its a card. It seems that you are try to boot something. Is it a used computer? if so, the perosn that owner it most likely booted the os (like Winodws 95) off of it. I don't see how you have a Suzzy card when it was invented by Apple........

A SCSI (that's how you spell it) card can be attached to one of your ports in your desktop like an extra video or sound card. It basically gives you a SCSI port that's standard in Mac computers. You can probably buy one from a regular computer store, though you may have to search a bit since most scanners these days are USB based.

Fo what it may cost you for a SCSI card you may just be able to pick up a new printer with scanner/copier/fax all in one for just about the same price and much easier than your scanner and quicker. If I were you I'd ditch the old HP
