Maybe you only looked at some cool stuff that it does, but didn't try:

Business Applications, like QuickBooks
Access Database applications
Document sharing
Awesome Games, like the ones that are Windows based.

So maybe with it's limitations, and small user base, MACs are not that awesome. SORRY.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Hi, the reason why most people think Mac is awesome is this and I think u will agree.
1. Mac OSX is based on unix just like Linux so there are very few viruses and hackers won't bother attacking a few people when they can attack a large windows market.
2. Since Mac computers running OSX are bought directly from Apple then all the hardware is installed properly and is working where as with windows, they will be installed in pcs all over the world and on differrent types of hardware so they r bound to have trouble.
3. With a Mac u get all the software u will ever need at once as soon as u buy a Mac running OSX. Where as Microsoft products all have to be bought seperately.

These are the main reasons why Mac's are currently pretty good, even though if u think about it Microsoft has to work pretty hard to please its customers. Currently in the UK the apple market is large but not for Mac's specifically.

Hope that answered ur question.
Good Luck!

They are just plain cool. They are the only one's that are legally allowed to run Mac OS X, hailed as the world's best operating system. They can also run Microsoft Windows and other OSs when used with Apple's Boot Camp, or wait till Mac OS 10.5 Leopard in October to get Vista Support. Macs are also quite sleek and compact, and yet provides sufficient cooling for itself. MacBooks have a trackpad with two finger scrolling capability, which means that you can scroll using two fingers instead of dragging the scroll bar or just sliding your finger on a designated area on the trackpad. In the Mac OS, there is the iLife suite, which includes iMovie, iDVD, GarageBand. It's interface is actually easier to use than Windows if you're new to computers. They also are much more resistant to viruses and spyware because hackers see less pofit in hacking into a Macintosh.

considering that virtually all macs are using intel under the hood now.. it must be the operating system..

but as Linux and Mac's start to whittle away at Microsoft's market share.. the people that attack vulnerabilities will be looking at those OS's instead of just XP and Vista..
