Well i found a 8400 GS GeForce that i was interested in and it requires a MINIMUM of 300W power supply. That is my current power supply but im worried if i buy it, it wont work or will mess up my comp = my dad killing me. What can you say?

i need to expand on my memory for my computer in a way other than an external hard drive. I want to know where I can get the little thin memory things that are pretty much circiut boards to add to the two memory things that all computers come with. I already have an external hard drive but that can't help me capture digital video. Please Help

I want to expand the amount of memory I have on my Dell Desktop. I edit films on my computer and need more space. What should I look for on CompUSA.com (or any other websites) to find extra memory. I dont want an extrernal hard drive. I want more memory inside the computer.

In windows i can't turn off the "beep" every time i change my volume.. and its annoying co'z id use headphones and id forget that it beeps when i change volume.. how do i shut it off? please help. THanks!

PS . I no a solution to fix it..which is booting from a cd and selecting repair or w/e. Dont give Answer saying that please. I no.

Heres the stich my friend opened a program that wnhe u did EVEYThing shut off. next time he try to boot it says its missing that or corrupted.

He doesnt' have a boot disk ATM. So what my idea was since he has Two PC he could get the HARD drive from the virused one and put it in the working pc. Then boot from the correct HD. Then what I think he could do was go to HIS own NTLDR copy and paste it to the OTHER hardrive..

Is that a good thing? I have no CPu experience at all. but to me ..this seems logical..

Can I do that.

My computer currently is not showing any video output, my monitor just states "No Signal." I thought at first it was the video card so I decided to install the old one to give that a try. With the other video card installed it still did not work; I than tried changing cables and tried changing monitors. Both of these did not work. I am wondering what is the problem, and what I should foucus on to fix the problem?

My laptop's been in use for 3 years and i feel like it's time to do a bit of precautionary work in case the hdd dies on me. :)

Can i get an extra 2.5' HDD that is the same capacity as my existing one in the laptop, put that in an enclosure, connect to my laptop as an external USB drive, and run IDE RAID with the internal hard drive and the one connected by USB?

In case the internal hdd dies, i can easily put the ext. one in and boot my system without any problems right?

Everytime I try to defrag my hard drive, it doesnt get any further than being %12 defragmented. I have tried this with both the Windows XP program and with a freeware program. I know my system is in dire need of a defrag but it gets to the %12 point, stops and sits there and the system heats up. (im questioning if perhaps the heating up of my system is indicating another issue. Its been happening a lot lately but the weather here has been in the 100's, so...?)
Any suggestions...?

I have an Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset family with 128mb, the main driver as ialmrnt5.dll, version 6.14.0010.4332
WHQL Logo'd: Yes, Mini VDD as ialmnt5.sys, and DDI version is 9. I just want to know how and where I get get maybe a driver download for this graphics card to have vertex shader or some other way. I know I can get it. I saw people with this graphics card having at least vertex shader 2.0. Or is it just a big lie? I just hope it isn't. PLZ HELP! I recently bought a HP a6009n computer and also bought 2GB of RAM.
Now I want to buy a XFX GeForce 8500 GT video card, but I don't know how compatible it is with my computer.
I'm not sure what the a6009n's power supply is, but I've heard it's only 250W. I've also heard the 8500 GT needs at least 300W, so should I buy a new power supply unit along with the video card?
Can anyone give me some definite values for the video card's power supply requirement or the a6009n's PSU?
