What is your graphics card? or you're just using the integrated graphics of your Intel motherboard?

Try buying a new graphics card, since most [or all] of integrated graphics are really slow, and only a handful fully support vertex shaders*

There are plenty of DX9 and DX10 [for Vista] compatible hardware on the cheap, they're a gazillion times better than any IGP

u have integrated graphics so i doubt it has vertex shader 2.0. u would need to get a new dedicated graphics card in order to play games on it. u cant just download something for it and make it work.

dunno about vertex..

are you on about pixel shaders.... some games won't work unless you have them on your card..

e.g. invisible war didn't work on my old pc as it didn't have a pixel shader.. i'm guessing its a laptop ? you can't change the gfx card in them.

if a desktop buy a better card.
