All you have to do is take the existing memory out of your machine and take it to a computer shop and they will supply you with the memory needed for your machine.

Generally speaking...any memory will work with any motherboard...as long as you have the memory type the same...no DDR in DDR2 slots & vice-versa, etc...

Specifically, check your mobo's compatabilities with the manufacturer. Some memory types/brands may not be supported. While memory is identical from brand to brand, minor differences (primarily in latancy figures/performance) can lead to improper functioning of the memory. If the performance figures are less than the mobo's standards, you will encounter problems. If the memory exceeds exceeds them, you should be fine...provided they don't exceed them by too much.

If you have a $50 mobo, don't buy yourself a $200 high performance memory stick... ;)

If it is the same memory type as that which is currently in use on the motherboard then it will be compatible - ie. if the mother board uses DDR2 and this is DDR2 then yes. Just don't try to mix and match - this is when you will get compatibility problems.

Quick answer is no.
The intel 915g uses ddr2 memory. However ddr2 is fairly cheap these days, around £50 a gig, so you could also upgrade this.
Providing your processor is a LGA775 socket type, which I think it is you should have no problem.
