The 7300 has TurboCache. and both of them are 256 MB of VRAM.

get the 7300 because it has GDDR3 memory which will run at a faster frequency than the GDDR2. the 7300 also has much better core clocks for what i have seen. the only thing i have seen about the 6600 is that for some odd reason they make 128 bit models and it is i think only a 64 bit for the 7300. i might be wrong about the bit architecture though but i don' t see that much of a difference in how a card runs, although many people think otherwise. the other thing the 6600 might have as a slight advantage is that it does not eat up some of your ram when using the card this i because it does not have hyper memory. in conclusion I would get the 7300 unless you have little amounts of RAM

the 7300 would be better because it is the latter of the two and many problems that the 6600 may incur would be fixed, also it may have SFX features like HDR and anti aliasing. In any case it is usually better to get the latest version because it usually means that it will pick-up where the previous cards left off continuing with functions that were only starting on earlier cards. The 7300's Turbocache would be a bonus because it will work faster than the 6600's standard memory.

Although 7300GS only has 64bit memory interface, it has much higher core and memory clock speeds and higher memory bandwidth. 7300GS also have better HD video capability. Get the 7300GS, but 7300GT would be great!
