i called gateway they said everything was fine but mic still wouldnt work and now i can hear my sister but she cant hear me

First of all i m planning to buy to buy agp graphic card (256MB Maximum) that can play games like NFSU2 , RCT3 , etc , but It should be cheap till 100$ not more than that , Please suggest some good cards , both Nvidia & AMD(ATI) cards. & also I want to know , Can xfx geforce 5200 play games like NFSU2 , without Lag , i m not Professional Gamer , but i want the card which can play games with low/medium settings , BUT MOST IMPORTANT thing without Lag , Right now I Have intel integrated Graphics , but u will be surprised to know that they can also Handle Games like NFSU2 , with good graphics , but the game works too slow , can't enjoy.
Please Make it fast......

I have a computer that is failing to turn on, bought a new PSU and still have the same problem (a nice new 580watt that came in today), I even went to tinkering with the front panel connector and no luck. I took the front panel off at one point and inspected the said power switch from the other side and had no luck finding anything wrong. Pulled out the RAM and everything looks fine, just a little dusty. Is there anything that could be preventing it from turning on? Is it a possibility that the case power on switch died and is showing no wear? Or could maybe the mobo have died without showing any signs of malfunction? There's no weird smells.

Whenever I'm watching a Movie on my laptop, I notice the film of the show would briefly freeze, but barely noticeable and extremely irritable. It seems as if the laptop is not producing enough energy to play the DVD disc. I am not sure, but I plan to return my notebook to the manufacturer for a repair under my warranty. But I need to explain the dysfucntion clearly. How can I put this into words so they can understand the issue?

I got a Maxtor 200GB 6L200PO to replace my old IBM 20GB Deskstar. I used the MaxBlast 4 utility to format the drive and copy my old IBM drive data over. Everything goes fine until I attempt to boot. WinXP begins to load and then I get a quick blue screen that quickly goes black and then the system reboots. I can't even see what the error is it goes by that fast.

I've tried setting the drive partition to only 130GB in case WinXP is having issues with the drive size, but same result. I've even tried reinstalling WinXP from scratch on the new drive and everything is fine until I begin loading Updates.

Have also run Memtest and CPU Stress just in case they were the problem but everything is clean. I even tried a new Mobo.

HELP! Any ideas?

I know it isn't top of the line but it's the most I could get with my budget.

Anyway:
Sempron 2800+ (socket 754)
MSI K8MM-V Mobo
1gb ddr 300 ram
2 160gb seagate HDDs
inno3d geforce 7300GT 256mb (128 bit) agp
4 aux case fans

How far could it go in gaming? (i.e. highest settings it could muster for bfme1 or even bfme2 and c&c3 and so and such)

What is the best cooler forIntel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz on an nforce 680i? I was thinking of water cooling but i will be putting in a GTS 8800 and read they are very difficult to install blocks on if you can even find it, so my next option is keeping it air cooled but what is the best heat sync cooler out now for this chip?

I am trying to clean up my old dell laptop. It is moving real slow and takes forever to boot up. I have tried to reinstall windows and so far it will not allow me. Even when i put the cd in and try to run it that is currently not getting the job done. It has been restored once from a virus from a friend but he is currently a state away and cannot help. any ideas on what i can do. I do have some computer knowledge but can;t figure this out.

Just recencly my mouse just suddendly can't move to the right. The pointer is always bound to the left side. I can move up, down and left...but never right. I had to make due with the tab functions...but it quite difficult to use in many sites thus making it incovenient. Is there any way to fix the mouse?

Is there a way to change Com port number?By default, most USB to serial converter will have com6 or higher.How can I change it to Com1 because my programming software accept only Com1 for connecting a device.

My computer is being really slow. No matter what programs are open my CPU usage is 100%. I only have between 30-37 processes running at a time. I have tried deleting most of my saved items (photos, music, documents, etc.). I did a virus scan and well i have no viruses. I also did a spyware scan, it found like 52 problems which are all quarantined. But nothing seems to be working. My computer is still being slow and my CPU usage is still really high.
Some one help me please. It would be very appreciated!!

I am thinking of upgrading my MacBook's RAM but I don't know which would actually go faster. I have the option of having two 512 MB cards or I can have one 1 GB card and one 256 MB card. Which one would actually go faster? Logic tells me the latter of the two but I don't know about the dual inline stuff built into the MacBooks does anyone know which would do the job better?

i bought this dvd rewriter but it doesnt read any cd-rom including the one it came with. Its connected as primary. I dont know what else to do. The computer recognizes it as a dvd ram but it wont read. When i put in dvds or cds it reads(displays the name) them in My Computer but it wont play them even if i click on the icon. please help

I have an iBook, and I love it! I want to run OS X on my desktop, and I know that you can run it on an intel platform, but I don't know about running it on an AMD platform. (I have an AMD Athlon XP 1.9GHz) it haz 380GB hard drive, and 512MB of RAM.

I planning to buy it but I have heard reports that the E4300 cannot overclock to 3.46 Ghz like the many people who have been able to when they got it close to when the chip was first released. besides dell and please not any macs. i need something that works quickly and efficiently, doesn't freeze (or freezes the least amount of times as compared to other brands) and does not crash or get viruses easily. i have had compaqs but i hate them and do not want to get them again because i have had a lot of problems with them such as always being slow, breaking easily, crashing quickly and freezing quickly and faulty battery. since compaq and hp computers are now 1 company, are they the same quality? thanks

p.s. i am always doing multiple things on the computer and need something that won't slow down
