Which would be better for a laptop?

speed.both of them r outdated.should get core 2 duo for laptop.

Both are made by intel. The current celeron is just called celeron and the current pentium is the pentium four, soon to be completely replaced by the core duo. The pentium four is hand's down faster and more capable. The only thing that the celeron has going for it, is that it's cheaper. Hope I helped.

well like they said the Pentium is an hands down better processor but. you should know the celeron is the processor for the ones who want speed with less to spend. its like the semporon of the AMD family a good cheep alternative to the higher end processors

celeron is one of a pentium series. It all depends on CPU clock speeds. Faster the better.

pentium is always better than celeron and runs faster if both are the same megahertz (MHZ) speed. pentium has more L1 and L2 cache memory thereby making it more expensive.
