What is the best cooler forIntel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz on an nforce 680i? I was thinking of water cooling but i will be putting in a GTS 8800 and read they are very difficult to install blocks on if you can even find it, so my next option is keeping it air cooled but what is the best heat sync cooler out now for this chip?

Thanks!

Zalman must employ the most effective marketing and advertising people in the world, because I have met more people on here who rave about how amazing these coolers are, despite the fact that review after review show these things ranking near the bottom in performance.

Here is the present almost undisputed champion of air coolers at the moment:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835109125
you do have to buy a fan for it, and make sure to check that if will fit in your case, it is rather big. This one also gives nearly the same performance:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154001 but is a little more, and is also huge. Either of these however will throttle anything Zalman has to offer, seriously we are talking like 10 degrees and more of difference. If these are two big for your case, send me an email and I'll see if I can find something smaller.

I actually have a center 2 duo E6600 overclocked from 2.4Ghz to 3.5Ghz using common air cooling and can desire to possibly pass further (if I dared). I have been a AMD fan and replaced into using a x2 4200 till I heard approximately this CPU and offered one the comparable day, alongside with a Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard.......and all i can assert it incredibly is wow. The middle 2 duo E6600 wipes the floor with AMD x2 4200 and right this moment overclocked state, it incredibly is even quicker than AMD flagship kind.......the FX62. Nuff reported, purchase one....you will no longer be apologetic approximately it.

I recommend a ZALMAN 7700-Cu LED 120mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler. It has a nice fan with LEDs on it, plus a heatsink. You can read more about it at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118017. And the solution to your 8800 GTS problem is to get a BFGTech 8800 GTX. Rather than having a fan on them they have a built in water-cooling system on them and a heatsink. You can read more about them at http://www2.bfgtech.com/bfgr88768gtxocwce.aspx
